I don’t know what intelligence tests you have been studying, but as an educator who administers those same tests, I think you have your racist head up one of your body parts.

Get a clue, read a book, and say something like this to somebody’s face so they can answer you in person.

what SIZE font do they usually use in books?

For my personal preference, I like size 9 or 10 in a nice easy to read font. According to my source, up to 12 point is considered “regular font”… I always thought it was smaller but check out the response to this question from another site which I have pasted below:

How can you tell what the font size of the print is?

I have thought for a long time that the font size should be part of the catalog record. I think we’re going to start labeling the spines of our large print books with the font size, since there are several, and I don’t think people who read large print need the extra stumbling block of having to open every book to see if the font is right for them.

“Regular” print goes as high as 12 point. Anything 16 point and above is considered “large print.” That leaves 14 point, which is actually a nice size for people who are just past reading the “regular” print. North Books, in Wickford, Rhode Island, is the only publisher I’m familiar with that regularly publishes in 14 point font (they publish in 16 point, too). The publish the classics, though, not current best-sellers.
