Ginkgo nuts? Your experience!?
Have you ever cooked using ginkgo nuts? Or your family, say grandmother? I tried several times gathering fresh ones, cleaning them, and cooking (boiling and roasting). The end was a little disappointing - bland, boring.
I never roasted them, but I remember cracking the shell and putting them into steam egg custard(chawan-mushi). I think that’s the best way to eat them. Ginko nuts aren’t my favorite, but I think that’s the dish you should try them in. Try searching “chawanmushi.”
