As spotted on Joystiq.com, game developer, UbiSoft declared that although casual games may be far more inexpensive to produce, it takes much more money to promote and market.

This was revealed by UbiSoft North America president, Detoc, in an interview with San Francisco Chronicle.  He also said that a big chunk of the recent success is due to the low development costs of casual games and the market’s acceptance on the genre.
